Cat Games for Cats: Catchy for iPhone and iPad · Effective October 15, 2026
Who we are
Catchy is made by Kozmonos ("we", "us"), the operator responsible for the app and for this policy. Contact for privacy questions and requests: support@kozmonos.com. This policy covers the Catchy app for iPhone and iPad and this page.
What Catchy does not collect
- No account, sign-up or password, and no e-mail address, phone number, postal address or contacts.
- No precise location. The app never reads your GPS position.
- No advertising, no advertising SDKs, no advertising identifier (IDFA) and no tracking across other companies' apps or websites.
- No camera, microphone or photos. The motion sensor is read on your device only to feel your cat's paw hitting the screen; the readings themselves are never sent.
- No payment card details: purchases are handled by Apple.
What Catchy keeps on your device
- Your cat's profile (the name you type and your setup answers), your game settings, language and whether Premium is active are stored in the app's private storage on your iPhone or iPad.
- Catchy has no cloud sync and no server of its own: nothing is backed up by us.
Information we receive
| What | Examples | Service provider | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Setup answers about your cat | the cat name you type, your cat's age group, how many hours your cat spends alone, the signs of boredom you picked, and how long each setup step took | PostHog | under PostHog's standard retention; see "Keeping and deleting information" |
| App usage events | screens and tabs opened, games, sounds and relaxation tracks started and stopped with their settings, how long they played and how many taps landed, language changes, app opened and closed, the Premium screen shown and the plan you looked at | PostHog | as above |
| Identifiers | an identifier the app creates when it is first installed, shared by PostHog, Sentry and RevenueCat so we can follow one installation across them, and the installation identifier PostHog creates; neither is your Apple Account nor an advertising identifier | PostHog, Sentry, RevenueCat | as long as the information it is attached to |
| Crash and error reports | where the code failed, app version, the steps and choices just before it, the values involved in the error, how long screens took to load; a short summary of each error also goes to PostHog | Sentry, PostHog | up to 90 days in Sentry; the PostHog summary as above |
| Technical context | device model, iOS version, app version, language, IP address and the approximate location (country, region, city) derived from it | PostHog, Sentry | as long as the event or report it is sent with |
| Purchases | the App Store receipt, whether Premium is active, and the plan, price, currency and transaction id of a purchase; RevenueCat also passes purchase, renewal and cancellation events to PostHog | RevenueCat, PostHog | while Premium is used, and as required for accounting |
Why we use it
We use the information above to provide Catchy (games, sounds and Premium features), to find and fix crashes and errors, to understand which games cats and their people enjoy and where setup loses people, to keep the app secure, and to know whether Premium is active. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not combine it with data from other companies to build profiles about you.
Who receives it
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising. The service providers below process it only on our behalf, under their data processing terms:
- PostHog, product analytics (EU hosting): posthog.com/privacy
- Sentry, crash and error reporting: sentry.io/privacy
- RevenueCat, subscription status: revenuecat.com/privacy
- Apple, App Store payments: apple.com/legal/privacy
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Purchases
Catchy Premium is bought through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment and never shares your payment details or Apple Account with us.
Keeping and deleting information
- On your device: deleting Catchy removes everything it stored on the device, including your cat's profile.
- Crash reports: deleted from Sentry after at most 90 days.
- Usage information and setup answers: kept only as long as they help us run and improve Catchy, under PostHog's standard retention. We delete them on request (see "Your rights").
- Support e-mails: kept while we help you and deleted within 12 months, sooner on request.
How we protect information
All transfers are encrypted (HTTPS), access to our service accounts is limited to the people who build Catchy, and we review our providers' settings at least once a year. Data on your device is protected by the operating system's built-in security.
Your rights (EU, UK and elsewhere)
You can ask to access, correct or delete information about your use of Catchy, object to its processing, or ask us to restrict it, by writing to support@kozmonos.com. To find your records we may ask for your app version and approximate dates of use. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. Our providers may process data outside your country (for example in the United States); they use the legal safeguards required for such transfers.
Children
Catchy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has used Catchy and sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
California
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Changes
If we change how Catchy handles information, we will update this page and the date above before the change takes effect, and describe significant changes in the app's update notes.
