Pocket Motion: TV Games for iPhone and iPad · Effective October 15, 2026
Who we are
Pocket Motion is made by Kozmonos ("we", "us"), the operator responsible for the app and for this policy. Contact for privacy questions and requests: support@kozmonos.com. This policy covers the Pocket Motion app for iPhone and iPad and this page.
What Pocket Motion does not collect
- No camera video or photos. Video is analysed on your phone and is never recorded, stored or sent anywhere, not to us and not to your TV.
- No body or face data reaches us. The body positions the app works out from the camera go only to the TV or computer you paired on your own Wi-Fi.
- No account, sign-up or password, and no e-mail address, phone number, postal address or contacts.
- No precise location and no microphone.
- No advertising, no advertising SDKs, no advertising identifier (IDFA) and no tracking across other companies' apps or websites.
What Pocket Motion keeps on your device
- Pairing details: the local network address of the last TV or computer you paired and a random player id, so the app can reconnect. Your settings and whether Pro is active are stored too.
- Pocket Motion has no cloud sync and no account: nothing is backed up by us.
Camera, body tracking and your TV
When you play, Pocket Motion uses the camera on your phone and Google's ML Kit, which runs on the phone, to find the position of your shoulders, arms, hands, hips and nose in each video frame. The video frames stay on the phone and are discarded as soon as they are analysed. The resulting body positions, your lane, jumps and slides, the room code and a random player id are sent over your local Wi-Fi (WebSocket) only to the TV or computer running the Pocket Motion game that you paired by QR code, room code or automatic discovery. The app connects only to private local network addresses; no server of ours, or of anyone else, relays or receives this data. The camera is also used to scan the pairing QR code on your TV, read on the phone. The motion sensor is read on the phone to keep the controller screen upright.
Information we receive
| What | Examples | Service provider | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| App usage events | screens opened, TVs found and how (QR code, room code or discovery), pairing results and connection speed, games picked, camera permission answer, which camera and zoom you used, how long you played and how many jumps, slides and lane changes you made, app opened and closed, language, the Pro screen shown and purchase or restore results | PostHog | under PostHog's standard retention; see "Keeping and deleting information" |
| Identifiers | an identifier the app creates when it is first installed, shared by PostHog, Sentry and RevenueCat so we can follow one installation across them, and the installation identifier PostHog creates; neither is your Apple Account nor an advertising identifier | PostHog, Sentry, RevenueCat | as long as the information it is attached to |
| Crash, error and performance reports | where the code failed, app version, the steps and choices just before it, the values involved in the error (a connection error can name your TV's local network address), app sessions; camera tracking speed (frames per second, analysis time, dropped frames); a short summary of each error also goes to PostHog | Sentry, PostHog | up to 90 days in Sentry; the PostHog data as above |
| Body tracking diagnostics | ML Kit sends Google technical metrics: device model, iOS and app version, a per-installation identifier, analysis time, settings such as image size, and error codes; never the camera images or body positions | Google ML Kit | under Google's ML Kit terms |
| Technical context | device model, iOS version, app version, language, IP address and the approximate location (country, region, city) derived from it | PostHog, Sentry | as long as the event or report it is sent with |
| Purchases | the App Store receipt and whether Pro is active; RevenueCat also passes purchase, renewal and cancellation events to PostHog | RevenueCat, PostHog | while Pro is used, and as required for accounting |
Why we use it
We use the information above to provide Pocket Motion (pairing, motion control and Pro features), to find and fix crashes, connection problems and slow tracking, to understand which games people play and where pairing fails, to keep the app secure, and to know whether Pro is active. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not combine it with data from other companies to build profiles about you.
Who receives it
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising. The service providers below process it only on our behalf, under their data processing terms:
- PostHog, product analytics (EU hosting): posthog.com/privacy
- Sentry, crash and error reporting: sentry.io/privacy
- RevenueCat, subscription status: revenuecat.com/privacy
- Google ML Kit, on-device body tracking; sends Google technical metrics only: developers.google.com/ml-kit/terms
- Apple, App Store payments: apple.com/legal/privacy
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Purchases
Pocket Motion Pro is bought through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment and never shares your payment details or Apple Account with us. The app tells your paired TV whether Pro is active so the TV can unlock the Pro games.
Keeping and deleting information
- On your device: deleting Pocket Motion removes everything it stored on the device, including the saved TV address.
- Crash reports: deleted from Sentry after at most 90 days.
- Usage information: kept only as long as it helps us run and improve Pocket Motion, under PostHog's standard retention. We delete it on request (see "Your rights").
- Support e-mails: kept while we help you and deleted within 12 months, sooner on request.
How we protect information
All transfers are encrypted (HTTPS), access to our service accounts is limited to the people who build Pocket Motion, and we review our providers' settings at least once a year. Data on your device is protected by the operating system's built-in security.
Your rights (EU, UK and elsewhere)
You can ask to access, correct or delete information about your use of Pocket Motion, object to its processing, or ask us to restrict it, by writing to support@kozmonos.com. To find your records we may ask for your app version and approximate dates of use. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. Our providers may process data outside your country (for example in the United States); they use the legal safeguards required for such transfers.
Children
Pocket Motion is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has used Pocket Motion and sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
California
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Changes
If we change how Pocket Motion handles information, we will update this page and the date above before the change takes effect, and describe significant changes in the app's update notes.
