Stampic: Photo Stamps Maker for iPhone and iPad · Effective October 15, 2026
Who we are
Stampic is made by Kozmonos ("we", "us"), the operator responsible for the app and for this policy. Contact for privacy questions and requests: support@kozmonos.com. This policy covers the Stampic app for iPhone and iPad and this page.
What Stampic does not collect
- No account, sign-up or password in the current version of Stampic, and no phone number, postal address or contacts. (Stampic 2.0.1 and earlier asked you to sign in; see "Older versions".)
- No advertising, no advertising SDKs, no advertising identifier (IDFA) and no tracking across other companies' apps or websites.
- Your photos and stamps are not uploaded to us. They are processed on your device.
- No face, voice or other biometric data.
What Stampic keeps on your device and in your own cloud
- Your stamps: the original photo, the finished stamp, its title, collection, frame, date and the place it was made are stored in the app's private storage on your device.
- iCloud sync: on iOS 17 and later, Stampic keeps a copy of your stamps, collections and their places in your own iCloud account (Apple's private CloudKit database), so they appear on your other devices and survive a new phone. We cannot read it.
- Google Drive backup: only if you connect it in Settings, Stampic keeps the same copy in a hidden app folder in your Google Drive. Stampic can see only that folder, not your other files, and we cannot read it.
- Saving and sharing: a stamp is saved to Photos or shared only when you choose to, through the iOS share sheet.
Location
Stampic can remember where a stamp was made and show it on the globe. When you capture a stamp with the camera, Stampic asks for your location while the app is in use (you can decline; the stamp is saved without a place). When you import a photo, Stampic reads the location stored in the photo, if any. To turn coordinates into a place name, and when you search for a place, the app sends the coordinates or your search text to Photon, a free place-name service run by Komoot on OpenStreetMap data. That request carries no identifier of yours. The place is then stored with the stamp on your device and in your own cloud copy; it is not sent to us. Stampic does not track your location in the background.
Older versions (Stampic 2.0.1 and earlier)
Until the current version replaces it in the App Store, Stampic 2.0.1 asks you to sign in (Sign in with Apple or Google, through Google Firebase) and keeps a server backup run by us on Cloudflare. We receive your name and e-mail address from the sign-in, and the backup stores your photos and stamps (including any location saved in an imported photo), their titles and collection names on our server. Feedback you send from the app is stored on our server and forwarded to our team. To delete this data, write to us. The current version has no account and no server backup and sends none of this.
Information we receive
| What | Examples | Service provider | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| App usage events | screens opened, stamps captured, imported, renamed, moved, exported or deleted (as ids and counts, not titles or pictures), collections viewed, frame chosen, the Premium screen shown and purchases, how many stamps and collections you have, your free-stamp count, language, region setting and time zone | PostHog | under PostHog's standard retention; see "Keeping and deleting information" |
| Identifiers | a random identifier the app creates when it is first installed, shared by PostHog, Sentry and RevenueCat so we can follow one installation across them, and the identifier Apple gives Stampic on this device ("identifier for vendor"), which RevenueCat receives with each purchase check; neither is your Apple Account or an advertising identifier | PostHog, Sentry, RevenueCat | as long as the information it is attached to |
| Crash and error reports | where the code failed, app version, the steps just before, the values involved in the error (which can include a stamp's title or place), how long screens took to load | Sentry | up to 90 days |
| Technical context | device model, iOS version, app version, language, time zone, IP address and the approximate location derived from it | PostHog, Sentry | as long as the event or report it is sent with |
| Place lookups | the coordinates of a new stamp, or the text you type in the place search, sent without any identifier to find a place name | Komoot (Photon) | not stored by us; see Komoot's privacy policy |
| Purchase status | the App Store receipt, whether Stampic Premium is active, purchases and renewals (also shown in our analytics) | RevenueCat, PostHog | while Stampic Premium is used, and as required for accounting |
| Account, server backup and feedback (Stampic 2.0.1 and earlier only) | your name and e-mail address from Sign in with Apple or Google, your photos and stamps with their titles, collection names and any location in an imported photo, and the feedback you send from the app | Google Firebase, Cloudflare, Telegram | until you ask us to delete it |
Usage events and crash reports are sent as they are, tied to the identifiers above; they are not anonymous. They never contain your photos or stamp images.
Why we use it
We use the information above to provide Stampic (places on your stamps, sync and Premium features), to find and fix crashes and errors, to understand which features people use and where they get stuck, to keep the app secure, and to know whether Premium is active. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not combine it with data from other companies to build profiles about you.
Who receives it
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising. The service providers below process it only on our behalf, under their data processing terms:
- PostHog, product analytics (EU hosting): posthog.com/privacy
- Sentry, crash and error reporting: sentry.io/privacy
- RevenueCat, subscription status: revenuecat.com/privacy
- Komoot (Photon), place names for coordinates and place search, from OpenStreetMap data: komoot.com/privacy
- Apple, App Store payments and iCloud sync in your own Apple Account: apple.com/legal/privacy
- Google, only if you connect Google Drive backup: policies.google.com/privacy
- Google Firebase, sign-in and app performance measurement (Stampic 2.0.1 and earlier only): firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Cloudflare, hosting of our server backup (Stampic 2.0.1 and earlier only): cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
- Telegram, delivers in-app feedback to our team (Stampic 2.0.1 and earlier only): telegram.org/privacy
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Purchases
Stampic Premium is bought through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment and never shares your payment details or Apple Account with us.
Keeping and deleting information
- On your device: deleting Stampic removes everything it stored on the device. Stamps you saved to Photos stay there.
- iCloud copy: open Settings, tap your name, then iCloud, Manage Storage (or Manage Account Storage), Stampic, and delete its data.
- Google Drive copy: in Google Drive on the web, open Settings, Manage apps, Stampic, and choose "Delete hidden app data".
- Crash reports: deleted after at most 90 days.
- Usage information: kept only as long as it helps us run and improve Stampic, under PostHog's standard retention. We delete it on request (see "Your rights").
- Account and server backup (Stampic 2.0.1 and earlier): kept until you ask us to delete it; write to us and we delete it.
- Support e-mails: kept while we help you and deleted within 12 months, sooner on request.
How we protect information
All transfers are encrypted (HTTPS), access to our service accounts is limited to the people who build Stampic, and we review our providers' settings at least once a year. Data on your device and in iCloud is protected by Apple's built-in security, and the Google Drive copy by your Google account.
Your rights (EU, UK and elsewhere)
You can ask to access, correct or delete information about your use of Stampic, object to its processing, or ask us to restrict it, by writing to support@kozmonos.com. To find your records we may ask for your app version and approximate dates of use. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. Our providers may process data outside your country (for example in the United States); they use the legal safeguards required for such transfers.
Children
Stampic is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has used Stampic and sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
California
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Changes
If we change how Stampic handles information, we will update this page and the date above before the change takes effect, and describe significant changes in the app's update notes.
